I recently had the chance to read Whatever is Lovely: A 90-Day Devotional Journal, by Allia Zobel Nolan. This nonfiction book was published on December 6, 2016 by Zonderkidz.

My Verdict:

I requested this book for my 9-year-old daughter, who is a new Christian. She has been asking about how to start a quiet time, and this devotional journal was perfect for her! She is drawn to anything beautiful, so the pretty cover and pages appealed to her. I read through some of the devotionals ahead of time, and found them to be entirely age-appropriate, although she has had to ask me the meaning of a few slang words. This lovely journal is encouraging her to develop a daily time of prayer, reflection, and writing, and we have both been so happy with it! Highly recommended for young girls!
