The Glory of the Messiah, by Susan Perlman and Shelley Skoropinski

I recently had the chance to read The Glory of the Messiah, by Susan Perlman and Shelley Skoropinski. This coloring book was published on January 31, 2017, by Bethany House.

About this book (from the back cover):

An Immersive, Creative Journey with the Messiah

While we may know what the Bible says about the Messiah, do we truly know him? In the rush of life, it can be hard to quiet ourselves enough to see and experience his glory. But now you can.

In this one-of-a-kind coloring experience, you will go on a journey through the Bible. Each beautiful, hand-drawn picture illustrates a pivotal prophecy and its fulfillment in the Messiah. Every spread features Old and New Testament Scripture passages from the Tree of Life Bible translation as well as a key Hebrew word, and its English translation, from the text.

As you color and create, open your heart to meditate on these prophecies–and their fulfillment in Jesus–and discover the glory of the Messiah anew.

Final Verdict:

This book is absolutely beautiful! The coloring pages are intricate and fun. Coloring has been found to reduce stress, and I love being able to relax and color while listening to a favorite audiobook. My daughters are 7 and 9, and they join the adults in our “big church” service on Sunday mornings, where they are able to keep themselves occupied by coloring; it’s nice, because they’re not a distraction to anyone else, and they’re still able to hear the sermon! They have loved coloring in this book. This book is a beautiful resource that would also make a wonderful teacher gift or Christmas present! My daughters and I found a great deal on high-quality colored pencils, and are now enjoying coloring through these beautiful pages together.
