I recently had the chance to read Ruth: Discovering Your Place in God’s Story, by Eugene H. Peterson. This nonfiction book will be published on June 20, 2017, by NavPress.

About this book (from the back cover):

Color with Friends. Be Drawn In to Scripture.
Struck by tragedy. On the fringes of society. Seizing upon hope. Ruth didn’t wait for hope to arrive. She sought it out and grabbed hold of it. Compelled by need, animated by faith, she dared to leave the only land she knew. Deepen your friendships as you gather around Scripture for coloring and conversation. Drawn In offers simple four-week Bible studies―perfect for groups or personal devotions. Coloring quiets your heart and mind so you can enter fully into Scripture’s stories. The Bible’s passion and personality come through in The Message, surprising new and long-time Bible readers alike. Discover the delight of being Drawn In.

Final Verdict:

I wanted to read this book, which is part of the Drawn In series, because I wanted something enjoyable to go through with my daughters, ages 8 & 10. They love the story of Ruth, and they love detailed coloring books, so this was perfect. Eugene Peterson is a beautiful writer, and the lovely, detailed pictures were so much fun for them to color. Recommended for a quick, interesting, 4-week Bible study, great for older children, teenagers, or adults.
