“Money Making Mom,” by Crystal Paine (the Money Saving Mom)

I recently had the chance to read Money-Making Mom: How Every Woman Can Earn More and Make a Difference, by Crystal Paine (otherwise known as Money Saving Mom!). This nonfiction book will be released November 3, 2015 by Thomas Nelson.

About this book (from the back cover):

Money can’t buy happiness, but properly managed it can be an amazing tool to change lives and make a positive difference.  In Money-Making Mom, business owner, well-known blogger, speaker, and author Crystal Paine sets out to spark your creativity, stir your heart, and inject fresh financial vision into your life.

Exploring the power and pitfalls of money through personal lessons-learned and compelling stories from others, Paine will encourage and challenge you to:

  • Expand your thinking to consider multiple money-making ideas
  • Dream big and set long-term financial goals
  • Forge an intentional path with clear priorities
  • Nurture your unique skills, talents, passions, and knowledge
  • Conquer the saboteurs of insecurity, fear, lack of time, and naysayers
  • Shift your perspective to live more generously for others

. . . and much more.

Whether your goal is to help support your family, pay down debt, or build a bigger cushion to help those who may be without, Money-Making Mom is filled with inspiration and ideas to guide the next steps along your journey.

My Verdict:

I have read Crystal Payne’s blog, Money Saving Mom, for years now, and have always enjoyed her clear, encouraging writing style. I was pleased to be able to review her last two books, The Money Saving Mom’s Budget, and Say Goodbye to Survival Mode, and when I heard Crystal was releasing a new book, I knew I had to read it. I’m glad to say that it is just as fantastic as I’d hoped it would be! Crystal shares very honestly about her journey from an young mom just trying to supplement her family’s income in order to stay afloat, to a blogger who averages millions of readers every month. She is very humble, and shares not only what has let to her success, but also a number of times that she has completely thrown herself into a project that has failed! This book really helped me in the brainstorming process, and I found it to be very encouraging. This book will show you how to give yourself grace while at the same time giving you a blueprint to start making and setting realistic goals to accomplish the dream of making money to support your family, pay down debt, or increase your savings. Highly recommended!
