If you participate in Papa John’s reward points, here’s a great way to get a large pizza for just 15 points (regularly 25). Make sure you enter your code BEFORE you place your order; otherwise it’ll give you problems. Papa John’s rewards points are fun. I ordered our free pizza for my husband for dinner when I was out-of-town. Gotta love technology.

Pottery Barn Kids has a Birthday club for children ages 9 and under.
According to the site, “Once your child is enrolled, a birthday card will be mailed to your home during their birthday month; it includes a special offer that must be redeemed by the end of their birthday month. If your child’s birthday is within 8 to 10 weeks of signing up for the birthday club, they will receive their initial birthday card and special offer the following year.”

I try to have family photos made at least once a year. I recently had the pleasure of a family photo shoot with Sarah Myers of Sarah Myers Photography.
Yes, I took kids (and husband) out into the record-breaking heat we’ve been having and made them sit still and smile. It was really a great experience! Sarah brought some props and had suggestions for other items for us to bring, which led to some really creative photographs. My girls loved having their photos made with their favorite stuffed animals, and I love this photo with the cross:
Sarah is really good with kids. Patience is definitely required when attempting to get my girls to smile and stay put. Here’s a shot of my Alice:
One of the main things that stands out to me about Sarah’s pricing is that her session fee includes a CD with all edited images and a print-release form so you can get prints wherever you find the best deal! She doesn’t charge per print (like many photographers) and she doesn’t charge an additional fee to purchase the CD. If you – like me – get canvases printed for your wall, this is a really important money-saving detail! Here’s the canvas I’m having printed:
Sarah’s photography sessions are $110 each, which includes the following:
- One hour photo session in location of your choice
- One outfit change
- Several hours of post-shoot editing
- Password-protected online gallery for easy proofing
- Print/usage-released photos on a CD (you may print as many as you like, post on Facebook, etc.). This alone is an outstanding option that typically costs several hundred dollars!

Big Lots is having one of its occasional 20% off weekends, making it a great time to stock up on basic groceries! This is when I buy A LOT of Nutella- it’s priced at $3, so after the discount it’s $2.40.
They also have 18 packs of K-cups for $9, so $7.20 after the discount.
To get 20% off everything tonight you just have to have a frequent shopper card. They’re free and you can get one at checkout. Tomorrow you’ll need a printable coupon found here.

If you’re going for a field trip with your kids, you’ll have a great time. If you’re looking to pick as many blueberries as possible, you may want to wait until next week, according to the owner. Here are the days they’re open as well as their hours:

You can combine this code with their weekly specials to get some great deals! My favorite right now is their Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Honey (17.6 ounce jar) which is half off (was $19.99, now $9.99). You could get two of these to bring your order total to above $16 so they’ll ship free, or you could add some of their other specials to your cart. I have personally bought coconut oil and Antioxidant Greens (also on sale!) from Tropical Traditions and have been very impressed with the quality of their products.
The free shipping expires at midnight on Monday July 9, and the half off honey deal expires July 12.
