My early birthday present: Le Creuset sale on Rue La La

You know you’re in a new phase of life when you’re excited about name-brand cookware instead of name-brand clothing.

So there’s a Le Creuset sale on Rue La La right now. I’ve been keeping my eyes open for Le Creuset items at garage sales for years now and have only found one dutch oven, about a year ago, cracked in half and still priced at $90. So it hasn’t happened for me yet.

I’ve really gotten into baking bread lately, and the “bake” function just went out on my garage sale bread machine, so I’ve been meaning to invest in some bread pans. I just got the following pretty thing for my birthday from the Le Creuset sale on deal site Rue La La. Don’t worry, it was only $25 🙂

I also love this round oven, below, but I’m still not there as far as price. So if you see one at a garage sale, call me. Go here to check our the Le Creuset sale on Rue La La. They also have a Cuisinart sale with some fun items.

Spider-Man Blu-ray plus one (maybe two!) movie tickets for just $9.99 total!

Buy Spider-Man 1, 2, or 3 on Blu-ray (regularly $19.99) from Amazon between now and August 3, 2012 and  you will receive a promotional code that you can redeem for a certificate valid for one admission to see The Amazing Spider-Man between July 3, 2012 and August 3, 2012 at participating theaters.

My husband is SO excited about this movie, so we’ve definitely taken advantage of this deal!

Once your movie ships you will receive an e-mail within 48 hours containing your promotional code. Click the link contained in the email to go to the website and redeem your promotional code.

PLUS, some people are reporting that there is an additional free movie ticket code for Spider-Man inside their Blu-ray when it arrives! So you may get TWO movie tickets and a Blu-ray for $9.99! Either way this is a great deal.

Thanks, Hip2Save!

Grocery University FREE through Wednesday!

Grocery University

Grocery University is one of the programs I’ve recommended in the past as a helpful resource for those of you who are new to couponing – or those of you who are seasoned couponers but are always looking for new ideas. I’m excited to share that through Wednesday June 27 this great program is absolutely free when you sign up to receive Grocery University emails!

If you forget to get it before Wednesday, you can still get Grocery University for $9.95 ($15 off) with coupon code SAVE15, and you won’t need to sign up for an email list. But why pay $9.95 when you can get it for free?

Go here to download Grocery University.

Fairview UMC accepting consignors for July 21st consignment sale

Fairview United Methodist Church is having its annual Children’s Consignment Sale on July 21st. This is one I always consign in AND shop at. Since they only have one sale a year items cover all seasons, which is really helpful when you’re trying to get all of your kids’ items sold!

They are currently accepting consignors. To sign up, contact Jennifer Walker at 681-9018 or by email at jenniferbethwalker at The fee to participate is $8 if you need tags and $5 if you don’t. (They use the standard 2-part tag, and I’ve always been able to use the number I use in other sales. No retagging for me!) If you work a 2-hour shift you’ll receive 70% of your sales, and the rest of the proceeds benefit the church’s children’s programs.

I will post more info on the sale in a few weeks, and will be offering a giveaway for passes to shop early. However, I highly recommend that you sign up to consign in this sale, and if you do, you’ll automatically be able to shop early!

CHI Flat Iron $54 (Retail $190) – highly recommended item!!

This is my CHI flat iron, above. I absolutely love it. It was one of my purchases from my less-thrifty days long ago, but it has saved me so much time over the years that I really think it’s been worth it! It’s a ceramic flat iron, so it straightens your hair really, really quickly, and I bought it over 10 years ago, so it’s obviously a product that lasts!

Right now on Amazon you can get a CHI 1-inch flat iron for $54 (retail for $190!!!) If you’re interested in getting one, I’d hurry, as this is sure to go quickly!
