Free meal planning for life from Food on the Table (with code)!

I’ve been meaning to sign up for a meal planning site for a while now. I know Dave Ramsey recommends e-meals – as do many of my friends – but I’ve decided to try Food on the Table, mainly because it’s free for life right now when you sign up during May and enter code SPRINGFREE. Have any of you tried Food on the Table? I’d be interested to hear your experiences!

Inexpensive movie rentals this weekend from Amazon, includes Hugo, plus some other movie recommendations

Amazon has a number of its streaming video rentals marked down to $1.99, including Hugo, which has been on my to-see list since the Oscars. (Plus, if you got the $3 Twitter streaming credit a while back you can rent something for free.) I checked the Plugged In movie review, and it sounds like this will be a good one for our family’s movie night as well. I loved the book, so I hope the movie will be as good.

Amazon Video Rentals stay in your Instant Video Library for up to 30 days, and once you start a movie you have 24 hours to finish it. So you can rent now, and watch when it’s convenient. These $1.99 rentals are good for nights when it’s just not worth $0.99 of your trouble to drive to a Redbox.

Other $1.99 rentals include:

$6 for $12 to spend on food and drinks at Hot Rods 50s Diner, available again!

The Hot Rods deal is available again on Living Social! You can pay $6 for $12 in food and drink at this fantastic restaurant in Alcoa. I purchase this every time it’s available, as my girls and I love Hot Rods! Go here to get your voucher.

The last time we were at Hot Rods, my mother-in-law commented that she didn’t know how they stayed in business seeing as how you get so much food for such small prices. I have no idea how they do that, but I know we never leave there hungry!

You can also sign up for their e-club and you’ll receive a free gift! Remember when you go that you can only use one Living Social voucher or coupon per table.

Free comic book day on May 5

20120503-053151.jpg
From my thrifty college student friend Jamie:
“Free comic book day on May 5 at Hastings. Select comics only, which means they might be good comics but they might not!”
I think my husband has told me about Free Comic Book Day before, an it seems like it’s something that’s offered at other stores too, not just Hastings. I’m sure the guys at Organized Play could tell you!
Thanks, Jamie!
