There’s a printable coupon available here for $5/2 Cafe Escapes K-cups. If you see any good K-cup deals to combine this with, please leave a comment here; I have a friend who is hunting for K-cup deals!

Also, if you’re looking for refillable K-cups, Amazon has a new coupon for 10% off an ekobrew refillable K-cup. Go here to see the ekobrew cup, and scroll down until you see a coupon to clip. (If you don’t see it, go here first and scroll down until you see the ekobrew coupon.) Right now it’s $10.34 after discount.

There’s also an interesting sampler pack of 35 K-cups here for $22.65.

$10/$30 at iHerb (online natural foods and vitamins grocery store) PLUS free shipping through 5/22

iHerb, an online grocery store that sells natural foods, vitamins and supplements, and more is offering $10/$30 purchase PLUS free shipping through tomorrow 5/22. To get this deal, just add $30 in merchandise to your cart, enter my referral code which is CAQ411, and check out like normal. When I made my purchase the $10 was taken off automatically, as was the shipping. This seems like a really great store!

Here are some deals you may like.

I bought Tea Tree Oil, which is a natural mosquito repellent (and for those with kids in school, a few drops in your child’s shampoo is supposed to ward off lice too!) It was $7.09 for a 2-oz bottle of $5.09 after code.

They also have the Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Dairy-Free Chocolate Mini Chips for $4.26/bag or $3.01/bag after code. These are great for those of you with dietary restrictions.

St. Dalfour Teas are all 10% off and when you add a box of tea to your cart you can purchase a ceramic mug for just $1!

Make sure you add a free sample to your cart before you check out, also!

If you’re not sure what to purchase, check out their top selling items for ideas.

After 5/22 you’ll still be able to get free shipping with purchases of $20 or more, and you’ll receive $5/$30 purchase with my referral code.

Thanks, Heavenly Homemakers!

Starbucks gift cards 9% off, Home Depot gift cards 7% off, plus more – Plastic Jungle’s spring sale

I’ve written before about how much I like Plastic Jungle – a site where you can buy gift cards and pay less than face value. I use Plastic Jungle to purchase Home Depot gift cards at 7% off since we’re in the middle of a multi-year remodeling project and I’ll take savings anywhere I can get it!

I was excited to see that Plastic Jungle is having a spring sale. Of special interest was their offer for Starbucks: gift cards are 9% off. I know that’s just like saving what you’d pay in tax, but every little bit helps, especially if you spend as much time at Starbucks as my husband does.

You can also sell gift cards on Plastic Jungle, which is a handy thing to do if you have gift cards you’re never going to use.

Harry Potter books coming to Kindle June 19!

Amazon just announced that on June 19th they’re making all the Harry Potter books available for Kindle! It sounds as if you’re not going to be able to buy them, rather, they’ll be available as part of the Kindle Owner’s Library which is available as part of a $79/yr Amazon Prime membership. Depending on your reading and movie-watching habits, a Prime membership may make sense for you, especially as it comes with free shipping on most other Amazon items. We haven’t taken the Prime plunge yet.

The Smoky Mountain Highland Games will be May 18–20 at Maryville College

The Smoky Mountain Highland Games will be May 18–20 at Maryville College. My husband, being Scottish in ancestry, already owned a kilt, but he’s purchased all the other paraphernalia he needs and is ready to go.
If you’re looking for a deal on kilts, I don’t have one for you. They’re expensive. However, my husband is very pleased with all the purchases he’s made from Sport Kilt, so I can recommend that particular retailer to you.

See you at the Highland Games!

Giveaway: One Gallon of Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, $75 value!

Gold Label Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

Tropical Traditions is America’s source for coconut oil. Their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is hand crafted in small batches by family producers, and it is the highest quality coconut oil they offer. You can read more about how virgin coconut oil is different from other coconut oils on their website here: What is Virgin Coconut Oil?

You can also read my previous review of their coconut oil here.

Here’s the video they produced about Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil:

Tropical Traditions also carries other varieties of affordable high quality coconut oil. Visit their website to check on current sales, to learn about the many uses of coconut oil, and to read about all the advantages of buying coconut oil online. Since the FDA does not allow the discussion of the health benefits of coconut oil on a page where it is being sold or given away, here is the best website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil.

Tropical Traditions is giving one Thrifty Christy reader one gallon of their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil! This would normally retail for $120 – but is on sale right now for $75 (in case you’re not the winner and want to purchase some for yourself!)

Here’s how to enter to win:

Required Entry:

Sign up for the Tropical Traditions email newsletter for early notice of their deals and specials. Then leave a comment below letting me know you’ve done so! That’s it! If you’re reading this on Facebook/Twitter hop on over to

Additional Optional Entries:

You can do each of the following things for an additional entry in the giveaway. You can only do each of these once, for a possible total of 9 entries. Please leave a separate comment for each method of entry.

This giveaway ends at midnight EST on Thursday May 24. I will choose a winner on Friday May 25 using and will contact them via email. Giveaway will be fulfilled by Tropical Traditions and is open to U.S. and Canadian residents only.

Also, if you place an order from Tropical Traditions by clicking on any of referral links and have never ordered from Tropical Traditions in the past, you will receive a free book on Virgin Coconut Oil, and I will receive a discount coupon for referring you. I received the book with my first order and it’s very interesting!
