$28 for a $20 Starbucks gift card and two Fandango movie tickets on Plum District
I love this deal! Right now you can get a $20 Starbucks gift card and two Fandango movie passes for $28 on Plum District, which is kind of like getting two movie tickets for $4 each! This sold out quickly the last time it was featured, so I’d hurry if you’re interested. You can buy up to 10 (which is obviously only for those people who see a lot of movies and drink a lot of coffee – although you can give them as gifts as well!) You have to use both by April 1, which gives you a decent amount of time to wait on a movie you’d like to see.

Borrow and lend Kindle books via Lendle, even if you don’t own a Kindle
I recently shared some info on facebook about a website called Lendle where you can borrow and lend books for your Kindle (or any associated devices like Android/iPhone/iPad, which is what I own – you don’t have to have a Kindle. You can even read books on your computer!) I wanted to give you all an update to let you know that if you sign up for a free Lendle account before 12/31 you’re entered to win a Kindle Fire! To enter you must enter a referral code, and if you’d like to enter mine, it’s 8RXQGYZK. If you’d like to see what books I have to loan, here’s my Lendle profile.
Lendle is a great place to share Kindle books that you already own to earn credits to be able to borrow Kindle books you’d like to read. My favorite Lendle tip comes from my friend Sarah’s blog: you can lend all the Kindle books that you’ve gotten for free, because most of them have now increased in price! Here’s a full list of the top 100 Kindle books that are currently free (to the right of the the top 100 ones that cost $).
In case you’re wondering, here are my two favorite books (currently) that I’ve gotten for free for Kindle. Both are highly recommended!
She Walks in Beauty, by Siri Mitchell
Maid to Match, by Deanne Gist (love the portrayal of life at the Biltmore)
Thanks, Sarah!

Count your blessings and share your wealth
The quickest way to forget your troubles is to count your blessings. As Americans, even those who are struggling financially are among the richest in the world. Not convinced? Check the Global Rich List.
Here are some statistics I ran across recently and wanted to share with you all. It’s a reminder that although it’s good to provide for your family, we also should consider using our resources to help those who are less fortunate.
- Annual U.S. spending on cosmetics: $8 billion
- Basic education for all global children: $6 million
- Annual U.S. and European spending on perfume: $12 billion
- Clean water for all global citizens: $9 billion
- Annual U.S. and European spending on pet food: $17 billion
- Reproductive health for all women: $12 billion
