Pampers Gifts to Grow codes – read even if you don’t have a child in diapers

Please read this even if you don’t have a child in diapers:

I’ve posted before about getting points from the Pampers & Huggies diaper programs, but I was at a baby shower last week, and the new mama was getting a whole lot of diapers, and when I mentioned that she needed to enter her Pampers points everyone looked at me like I was crazy and asked what I was talking about, so I’m going to post about it again. You know when you open a package of Pampers diapers or wipes and there’s a sticker inside with a code on it? Well, those codes are for what’s called the  Pampers Gifts to Grow program. When you enter the codes inside your products you get points. You can redeem those points for some really great prizes, like gift cards for places like Starbucks. Even if you don’t think you’ll ever redeem the points, it’s a waste to throw the codes away because you can also donate your points to charity. I’ve donated mine to charities that provide vaccines and clean water to third world countries. If you have a child in diapers you really should be entering your codes. It takes approximately two seconds. Go here to sign up for the Pampers Gifts to Grow program and you’ll get 100 points to start you off. Also, if you follow some of the national coupon blogs like Southern Savers or Hip2 Save they will often post codes that are valid for everyone to enter, so you don’t have to buy diapers to play along! Here are some additional codes that have worked for me in the past, although I have no idea when they expire:

  • WELCOMEGTGPTS10 = 10 points
  • GTGREWARDS4MOMS = 10 points
  • WELCOME2PAMPERS = 50 points
  • JOINNOW4REWARDS = 50 points
  • 2BEGINEARNING50 = 50 points
  • GIFTSTOGROW4MOM = 50 points
  • pampers4momjfm1 = 10 points
  • CONGRATS2NEWMOM = 10 points
  • GTGWELCOME10PTS = 10 points
  • PAMPERSGTG10PTS = 10 points
  • PAMPERS4MOMSOND = 10 points
  • 10PTSFREECODE4U = 10 points
  • PUNTOSPARAMI123 = 10 points
  • CAREFORNEWBORNS = 10 points
  • GTGCOUPONPOINTS = 10 points
  • WELCOME2VILLAGE = 10 points
  • GETSTARTEDNOW10 = 10 points

Thanks to Money Saving Mom for the codes!

Barcodes, they are a-changin’

There is a great article by the girls at Time 2 Save Workshops on the changes that are coming in the world of coupon barcodes. You may have heard about people who fraudulently decode barcodes, meaning they’ve figured out how to use a coupon for a product it wasn’t intended for without it beeping at checkout. That will soon be changing, as the new barcodes will stop coupons from going through when they’re used for the wrong product. This shouldn’t affect those of us who use coupons ethically, except that you’ll need to make sure and read the fine print on your coupons more carefully.

Thanks, Time2SaveWorkshops!

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your Sunday coupon preview for this weekend is: nothing. Yep, there will be no coupon inserts in this weekend’s paper. But the good news is, it’s Memorial Day weekend, so enjoy yourselves and worry about coupons later. Or, use this break to get caught up on your clipping and filing!

Free books for your Kindle or smartphone: Place of Peace, Who Is My Neighbor, more

Here are some new free books available for download to your Kindle, smartphone, or computer:

Place of Peace, Free Book Download: Place of Peace and more by Debra Diaz. I haven’t read this one, but it comes highly recommended by Crystal at The Thrifty Mama. Here’s what she said: “I just finished reading this one last night, and it was excellent. It’s a sweet romance, but also very moving as the couple work to save lives during the outbreak of Yellow Fever in Memphis during the 1800s.”

Fight Now: Eat & Live Proactively Against Breast Cancer, by Dr. Aaron Tabor. Thanks to Sara for recommending this on to me.

Who Is My Neighbor? Being a Good Samaritan in a Connected World, by Steve Moore. I downloaded this to read in the future. It sounds really good.

It’s my plan to list the upcoming movies at the Parkway Drive-in each week. Come support a great local business!

Tickets this weekend are $8/adult and $4/child ages 5-12. Kids ages 4 & under are still free. They will have nightly giveaways of toys (for kids) and gift cards (for adults).

Swagbucks code extravaganza today plus where to find the first code

Today is the Swagbucks code extravaganza I mentioned here. As promised, I’m going to try to let you know where to find the codes they’re making available. The first step is to sign up for Swagbucks, if you haven’t already, and you can do that here. It’ s free of course, and you can receive a bonus of 50 Swagbucks (on top of your initial 30) when you enter code MEMORIALDAY at signup.

Now, head to the Swagbucks Twitter page to find a code worth 5 points. It will be available until 11 EST. Remember, it takes 450 Swagbucks to get $5 to spend on Amazon. I use my Amazon credit for groceries. Don’t forget to install the Swagbucks toolbar; it makes it easier to search and you’ll receive 1 Swagbuck a day just for having it!
