Raising Rock Stars Preschool: lifetime membership $8, today only!

One of the blogs I follow is called 1+1+1=1 about creative ways to teach your kids at home. Carisa, who writes it, is so creative and talented. My girls are both too young for grade-school ideas, but we follow her homeschool preschool program called Raising Rock Stars Preschool. She offers a members-only section to her website that has printable worksheets, PowerPoint slideshows, and more. She is offering a deal today only for a lifetime membership to the members-only area for only $8! I bought a membership last year (I think I paid $10 then) and love it. Plus, she’s a missionary’s wife, so the proceeds go directly to their ministry. Go here if you’re interested in finding out more.

The Southern Bell Consignment Sale (sister to the Jingle Bell Sale) July 15-16

Last Christmas I participated in a children’s consignment sale called the Jingle Bell Sale, in Knoxville. It takes a lot to get me to do a Knoxville consignment sale, and this one had everything I was looking for. They’re having a summer sale, called the Southern Bell Sale, and I’m going to be consigning in it too. I highly recommend it. Here’s why:

  1. You do not have to work a shift and you still get 70% of your sales! HUGE for me as I can’t afford to drive to Knoxville more than the two trips for drop off and pick up. If you do choose to work, you get 80% of your sales.
  2. The girls who run this sale are so nice and easy to work with! They’re even willing to help Blount County consignors out by letting us bring a snack (for those who are working to eat) and count that as a work shift to get the 80%!
  3. You can use the tags you’ve already been using as long as your consignor number is available. That means you can put your Duck Duck Goose clothes & toys in the sale. Or, get everything tagged for the Fairview UMC sale (July 23) and put those items in this sale first! You can use the two-part tags that I use and only have to worry about tagging once!
  4. This sale is ALL SEASONS. Get everything out of the house. Yay.
  5. It only costs the usual $5 to participate, and you don’t even have to write a check, because they will just take the fee out of your proceeds at the end of the sale.

If you’re interested in consigning, email and request your consignor # or visit the Southern Bell Sale website. The sale takes place in the Ball Road Baptist Church fellowship hall; the church is at 6323 Ball Road off of Oak Ridge Highway in Knoxville (zip 37931).

Scottish Highland Festival at Maryville College May 20-22

The Smoky Mountain Highland Games will be May 20 – 22 at Maryville College. My husband, being Scottish in ancestry, already owns a kilt, but he’s purchased all the other paraphernalia he needs and is ready to go. If you’re looking for a deal on kilts, I don’t have one for you. They’re expensive. However, my husband is very pleased with all the purchases he’s made from Sport Kilt, so I can recommend that particular retailer to you.

I just want one of the t-shirts, above.

Sams Club: one year’s food stockpile for $2900. Crazy or brilliant?

Are you completely over shopping? Then this offer might seem more tempting than crazy to you. I just think it’s great that something like this exists. It made me laugh. Then I asked my husband for $3K. Then he laughed.

Sam’s Club has a deal here for a food stockpile for four people for one year. Price = $2942. And hey, free shipping.

Obviously someone’s buying if they’re offering. Is it you?

Thanks, Birmingham Bargain Mom!

Deal on Cottonelle toilet paper at Walgreens

UPDATED: Sorry, I fixed my math! I think…

This post is for my friend Jessica who requested a stock-up deal on toilet paper.

At Walgreens there is a Register Reward deal through 5/15 on Cottonelle 12-packs: buy 2 and get $3 in RRs (limit 1), buy 3 and get $4 in RRs (limit 1). You can do this deal with the coupons below and after RRs it’s like getting it for $3/pack. Or you can wait until the May coupon book is out and do this deal to get it for $2/pack:

Buy 2 Cottonelle Toilet Paper 12 pk at $5 each

Use 2 $0.50/1 Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue, 4 pk or larger
or use 2 $0.50/1 Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue, 4 pk or larger

Use $1/1 Cottonelle coupon in the May Walgreens coupon book (available for free at the front of the store)(will take off $2)

Pay $7.00 OOP and receive $3.00 Register Reward
Total after RRs: Like getting it for $2.00 each when you buy two. You can also buy three, use an extra printable $0.50/1 coupon, and that will make it $2.17/package after you get back $4 in RRs.

Like I told Jessica, my stock-up price for toilet paper is $0.25/roll, and after Register Rewards this deal gets you there.

Thanks, Krazy Coupon Lady!
